About MVSNA
The Mount Vernon Square Neighborhood Association (MVSNA) has represented the primarily residential community located in the historic district just north of downtown DC since the 1970s. It is a nonprofit organization organized under the laws of the District of Columbia.

Board of Directors
President: Cary SilvermanA native of Brooklyn, New York, Cary has lived in the District for nearly a decade. He moved to the Mt. Vernon Square neighborhood in 2004 after purchasing his first home at 5th and N Streets. Cary has advocated for DC residents for many years, including service on the Board of Directors of Shaw Main Streets, as president of the Logan Circle Community Association, and as a Commissioner and Chairperson of Advisory Neighborhood Commission 2F. Cary is serving his second term as President of MVSNA. He is an attorney in the public policy group of a private law firm.
First Vice President: Si Kailian
Si is serving her 4th term as First Vice President. She is a 13-year D.C. resident and moved to Mount Vernon Square in 2002 where she is a homeowner.
Second Vice President: Sam Farmer
Sam is a ten-year resident of D.C. and moved to the Mount Vernon Square neighborhood in 2003 where he is a homeowner. He also maintains the MVSNA website and Life in blog.
Recording Secretary: Jeff Parke
Jeff has served three terms as treasurer and is now serving as recording secretary. He is a life-long resident of D.C. and moved to the neighborhood in 2002.
Corresponding Secretary: Melanie Mfume
Treasurer: Megan Levin
Megan moved to the Mount Vernon Square neighborhood in 2001 where she and her husband are homeowners. Megan has lived in the District since 1998.
